Leeds 26th Annual Creek Bank Festival Drew Record Vendors and Crowds | Leeds, Al- The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that their 26th Annual Creek Bank Festival on Saturday, May 15 drew record vendors and crowds at Leeds Memorial Park and was a huge success.
The day’s festivities included some extremely talented stage entertainers with live music from Award-Winning Singer/Songwriter, Michael Jacobs and Birmingham Based Singer/Songwriter, Erica Ryleigh, Singer/Songwriter Miss Leeds Area Charity Bowden and The Wingnuts who provided vintage rock and roll.
Children’s activities abounded with hula hoop contests, balloon artist, face painting, Moon Pie eating contest. Almost 25 dog owners and their pups participated in the Creek Bark dog pageant. Over 125 vendors provided plenty of shopping opportunities with arts, crafts, beautiful handmade items, other products and services as well as some great food vendors.
“People hung out all day long this year for the stage entertainment. This is one of the best line-ups we’ve had at Creek Bank and our festival drew record numbers this year of vendors and attendees from all over the region. We had vendors travel from all over the southeast to participate this year,” shared Sandra McGuire, Executive Director for Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce.
In conjunction with the Creek Bank Festival, the 5th Annual Cruising the Creek Bank Car Show hosted by C & C Motor Company also drew record crowds with approximately 310 cars participating and $6400 was raised from this charity car show. Christy McCombs of C & C Motor Company shared, “It was a great show and we would like to thank everyone who brought out their cars, our friends, family and DJ, Ronnie Foster. We will present checks to our charities, Leeds Outreach and Backpack Buddies, in the next few days.”
Celebrating its 26th year, Leeds Creek Bank Festival did not disappoint. “I think everyone was just ready to get outside and have some fun. The weather was magnificent, we had a great festival planned and people came out to enjoy. We would like to send a huge thank you to all of our vendors, volunteers, sponsors and city workers. We could not do what we do without each one!” said Sandra.
