About the WingNuts:
The WingNuts are vintage rock ‘n roll specialists, with a knack for providing
“groovy” music in a highly entertaining and professional manner! Their set list
includes Top 40 rock & roll classics from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Most songs in the
band’s set are covered as close to the original artist as possible.
The WingNuts is not a “bar band.” They specialize in providing memorable musical
experiences for corporate, civic and charitable events, class reunions, outdoor
festivals, private parties and wedding receptions.
The WingNuts was formed in 2011 when a few pilots, along with one non-pilot, put
together a 12 song set to perform for one Civil Air Patrol conference. Requests for
their musical services never stopped and the rest is, as they say, “history.”
The WingNuts current lineup includes:
Alan Furr – lead vocal / rhythm guitar (District Judge for St. Clair County)
Donnie Todd – lead guitar / vocals (Chief Corporate Pilot)
Glenn Wilson – vocals / keys / horns / guitar / harmonica (Engineer for APCO)
Mickey Farmer – bass guitar (Self employed Farm Equipment Dealer)
Bobby Breed – drums / percussion (Retired Chief of Police)
Sandra Furr – keys / percussion (Retired business manager)
Elizabeth Money – lead and backing vocals (Teacher at Pell City High School)
